Requests for Proposals and Expressions of Interest

At times the Planning and Funding team (on behalf of the DHB) will look to change the way services are delivered and will invite interested providers to put forward expressions of interest in delivery services or to put forward their solution to a problem or innovative ideas for how services can be better delivered. There are two main methods of doing this:

A Request for Proposal (RFP)

Usually a request for a solution to a problem, service gap, or new innovation as to how services can be better delivered and this is CDHB's preferred method of procurement.

An Expression of Interest (EOI)

The process whereby CDHB informs providers what it is looking for and "invites" them to apply to provider the requested services. Once CDHB has received responses, potential vendors are short listed before a final offer is made.

These can also be accessed on the GETS website.
