Voting in the Canterbury DHB (CDHB) elections closed at 12 noon on Saturday 12 October 2013. The CDHB Board consists of up to 11 members with seven elected by the public at large and up to four appointed by the Minister of Health.
The election was held in conjunction with the local authority elections with voters in the area from Kaikoura to Ashburton able to vote for the seven elected positions.
There were a total of 26 candidates for the seven positions and final results from the election can be viewed in the following document:

It is expected that the Minister of Health will appoint the remaining four members of the Board (including the Chair and Deputy Chair) in November 2013.
The new Board will take office on 9 December 2013.
